A Little Goodbye (and a Happy New Hello)

After many years (and a lot of spins, steps, and “wait… which foot?!” moments), it’s time for me to step away from Real World Ballroom.

Even typing that feels a little surreal.

This studio has been so much more than a place to dance. It’s been a space where people walked in unsure and walked out more confident. Where first dances turned into something more. Where friendships formed, laughter was constant, and yes… where we occasionally all turned the wrong direction at the exact same time.

Dance has never really been about getting it “right.” It’s about showing up, being present, and being willing to try again (and again… and again). Over the years, I’ve watched that happen in the most beautiful ways—both on and off the dance floor.

And somewhere along the way, I learned just as much as I taught.

I learned patience (lots of it) although some would beg to differ. I learned that growth doesn’t always look the way we expect it to. And I learned that confidence often shows up quietly—until one day, it doesn’t feel so quiet anymore.

Most of all, I’ve learned how special this community truly is.

As this chapter closes for me, there’s also something new beginning.

I’m excited to share that the studio will continue on as Real World Dance under Jeremy’s direction. He brings a fresh energy and vision, and I have no doubt the studio will continue to grow, evolve, and welcome even more people into the joy of dance.

So if there’s one thing I hope you’ll do, it’s this:

Keep dancing.Keep showing up.And keep supporting Jeremy as he leads this next chapter.

Because what’s been built here doesn’t end—it continues, just in a new way.

As for me, this isn’t a goodbye to dance. It’s simply a transition into something new, carrying forward everything this experience has given me.

To everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you. For the dances, the laughter, the trust, and all the in-between moments that made it so meaningful.

This chapter may be closing, but the music doesn’t stop.

And I have a feeling the best is still ahead. 💃

See you on the dance floor of life!
